CLIENT – SKELHURST PROPERTIES LTD

SERVICES – DESIGN, COST MANAGEMENT, PROJECT MANAGEMENT, CONTRACT ADMINISTRATOR & PRINCIPAL DESIGNER

VALUE – £150K PLUS VAT

We were appointed by Skelhurst Properties Ltd to undertake Landlord Shell Works in order to reinstate an industrial unit to full FRI condition as part of a new letting to Toolstation.

Works involved the full strip of the unit back to shell condition and undertaking external fabric repairs to the building, including cut-edge corrosion treatment to the roof and wall cladding repairs.  We also undertook works to facilitate the upgrade of the incoming services, which included new electricity and water supply connections.

We undertook an initial building condition survey to assess the works required and negotiated the scope of works with the incoming Tenant.

Knowles & Co. were responsible for the full design, cost management and managed the project from start to completion. We were also responsible for liaison with Scottish Borders Council to obtain the necessary Building Warrant approvals for the works.
