Knowles & Co. were instructed by The Inn Collection Group as Project Managers for the refurbishment of The Hog’s Head Inn, Alnwick. The Hog’s Head Inn is named after the pub located in the fictional wizarding village of Hogsmeade, from the Harry Potter book series by J K Rowling.
The Hog’s Head Inn is ideally located on the outskirts of Alnwick, nearby local attraction Alnwick Castle, where a number of scenes were recorded for the Harry Potter film series.
Knowles & Co. were responsible for the project management, cost management and full liaison with the Inn Collection Group team to ensure successful project delivery.
The works involved the full strip out back to shell and refurbishment of the restaurant area including the reconfiguration of the carvery servery area. Additional works included the light refurbishment of the bedroom accommodation including redecoration, new floor finishes and the introduction of USB charging sockets.
Following an eight week construction programme we were pleased to certify Practical Completion in June 2022, with a successful re-opening to the public shortly following.
